What car is it from?

Sorry for the long absence...
work took me away from home for many days, and the time available was used for family.

Last WE of May I went to the Ciney Retromoteur event in Belgium (big classic car event, with spares, automobilia and cars for sale.

I spotted a car with a nice "statue ", see above.
Can you recognize the car?

UPDATE ON OCT.11, 2009

The car was a LEA-FRANCIS, not sure the lady was original, but it looked nice on the car.
The brand emblem is showing a Licorn.
I agree it was not easy at all, but that was part of the game :-) Here are some more photos :

  1. Hmmm, not sure about this. Cadillac or Packard perhaps? But I'm not sure. Perhaps you could provide a clue...?

  3. Now this is driving me crazy...so cars made in Coventry
Jaguar: I don't think so; not even a very early one
    Swallow: Err. no!
    Hillman: No
Riley: I remember the logo but not a "flying lady"type ornament
    Humber: possibly...?

    Am I getting close?

  5. Of course, Lea-Francis. But I didn't know it off the top of my head and it would have taken quite a bit more digging to find it. Good choice!
